Introducing the first automated free-sampling vending machine in their Pilsworth store, Asda has opened a new way to handle shopper-activations in-store for retailers, proposing a new way for brands to offer their products for sampling in-stores where they'll reach shopper directly.
These free samples can be accessed by shoppers by scanning their Asda rewards QR code at the machine, encouraging Rewards member sign-ups and improving consumer loyalty for Asda as well as for the brand featured in the sampling shopper activation.
This concept has already been seen in US supermarkets and has seen success, boding well for the integration of these sampling vending machines nationwide across the UK.
Müller's Frijj have been the first brand to be a part of this new shopper activation by retailer, Asda.
