Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions prevail in the event of any conflict or inconsistency with any other communications, including advertising or promotional materials. Entry/claim instructions are deemed to form part of the Terms and Conditions and by participating all claimants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by the Terms and Conditions. Please print a copy of these Terms and Conditions and retain for future reference.

1. The Promoter: pladis (UK) Limited, Building 3, Chiswick Park, 566 Chiswick High Road, Chiswick, London W4 5YA (please do not send any correspondence to this address). (“Promoter”).
2. Eligibility: Entry is open to residents of the United Kingdom (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland). Entrant must be aged 18 or over. The following are excluded from entry:

1.  Directors, management and employees of the Promoter or its holding or subsidiary companies.
2.  Employees of agents or suppliers of the Promoter, or any third parties who are professionally connected with the competition or its administration; and
3.  Members of the immediate families or households of the above.

3. Requirements: Purchase is required. All winners must have internet access, email address, mobile number and valid UK bank account to claim a prize.
4. Main Prize Promotional Period: The Promotion opens on 17 February 2025 and closes 31.07.25 (the “Closing Date”).
5. Entry Instructions:

WIN A WEDGE OF £100K (the “Main Prize”): The Promotion is limited to a maximum of one prize per household. To enter:

 Step 1

1. Visit any participating store and purchase a Promotional Mini Cheddars product (as outlined in clause 8.) within the Promotional Period.
2. Following your purchase, open the inner pack wrapper to find out if there is a Mini Cheddars biscuit shaped like a wedge in the packaging. In the instance of finding a special Mini Cheddars Wedge (the “Wedge”), follow the instructions on the accompanying winning leaflet (the “Leaflet”) to claim your prize by 31.07.2025.

 Step 2

1. Visit the website detailed on the Leaflet and enter the unique reference number (the “URN”). You will also need to enter your full name, email address and mobile number. Once completed, a member of the Promoter’s team will make contact.
2. Retain original Wedge, Leaflet and promotional packaging as proof of prize if requested.

WIN A WEDGE OF £1K (the “Daily Win”): The Promotion excludes the Mini Cheddar Variety packs and is limited to a maximum of one prize per household. To enter:

 Step 1

1. Visit any participating store and purchase a Promotional Mini Cheddars product (as outlined in clause 8.) within the Promotional Period.
2. To enter the Daily Win you must scan the QR code on back of pack or visit www.minicheddarsuk.com.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions to find the URN which you must enter along with your name, mobile number and email address.

 Step 2

1. After correctly entering all of your details, you will find out instantly if you have won a cash prize of £100.
2. If you are a winner, you will be required to provide your UK bank account details.
3. Please retain original packaging with URN as this may be required to validate your claim.

In the event that the site has entries in which a bot is suspected, you may be required to validate either your mobile number or email address in order to validate your entry. This is at the promoter’s discretion and is in addition to the above requirements.

Claim for Prizes may only be made using the method described above. Claims by any other means (for example postal claims) shall not be accepted.

Strictly one prize per household across all prize levels including £10,000, £100 or £1,000.

6. The Promoter will not accept:

1. Responsibility for entries that are late, incorrect, illegible, incomplete, defaced, corrupt, lost, mislaid, damaged or delayed in transit, regardless of cause, including, for example, as a result of any equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, hardware or software failure of any kind or any other reason; or
2. Proof of transmission as proof of receipt of entry to the Prize Promotion.
3. No third party or bulk entries. Entries via third parties or syndicates, entries by macros or other automated means and entries which do not satisfy the requirements of these Terms and Conditions in full will be disqualified. If it becomes apparent that either an entrant or household is using any means to circumvent this condition such as, and without limitation, fraudulently falsifying data, acting fraudulently or dishonestly in the opinion of the Promoter using identities other than their own or any other automated means in order to increase the entrant’s entries or otherwise acting in violation of these Terms, these entrants will be disqualified, and any prize entitlement will be void. Entrants are advised to take care when entering their details; the Promoter is not responsible for mistypes.

The promotional products are available throughout the UK in all major grocery retailers for a limited period. Once they are gone, they are gone.

1. The 10 Wedges will be independently and randomly inserted inside the product packaging of promotional stock of Mini Cheddar products. The promotional Mini Cheddars products will all look the same, but when opened, there will be a flow-wrapped unique Wedge biscuit and explanatory leaflet inside the product packaging, and this will communicate that it is a winning pack.
2. The contents of the Mini Cheddars biscuits will be untouched, and all packaging should be retained for reference as it contains important instructions and product and food information.
3. The promotional products that have a Wedge inserted are chosen via a randomised computer process. These prizes are then randomly distributed in the manufacturing process.

Daily Win

Promotional products available for the Daily Win prizes are as above table but exclude all Jacob’s Mini Cheddars Variety multi-packs.

In order to be in with a chance at winning a Daily Win you will be required to use the URN from the outer packaging and enter it into the promotional site to find out if you have won during the promotional data (see clause 7).

The Daily Win is a winning moments mechanic whereby the person entering either on or just after each winning moment will win the prize. The winning moments are selected at random via an automated computerised programme.

Mop Up Draw

All entries that do not win a cash prize during the period (see clause 4) will be entered into a Mop Up Draw to win 1 x £1k cash prize. The winner will be chosen via an automated computerised programme by an independent adjudicator.

Promotional products available for the Mop Up Draw are as above table but exclude all Jacob’s Mini Cheddars Variety multi-packs.

9. Winner Notification:

Main Prize

1. If you purchase a winning Mini Cheddar promotion product with a Wedge and Leaflet concealed inside, you will need to submit a valid prize claim to secure your prize. Prize claims must be made by 31.07.25. All entries received after that time will be automatically void and will not be eligible to win or claim their prize.
2. Full instructions on how to make a prize claim will be on the Leaflet and must be followed to successfully claim your prize. As part of the claim process, you may be required to return your Wedge and Leaflet to the Promoter. Instructions on how to return the Wedge and Leaflet will be given at the end of the claim process. This will be at no cost to winners.
3. The Promoter will use reasonable efforts to contact winners. If a winner cannot be contacted or is not available after reasonable efforts by the Promoter, the Promoter is not obliged to award a prize to them.
4. Winners will be contacted by telephone within 7 working days of a valid claim. Should contact not be made then an email will be sent.
5. Once contact has been made winners will be required to provide their bank account details in order to receive their prize.
6. Valid prize claims will receive their prize within 28 days.
7. Any prizes that are either not found, consumed or not claimed by the Close Date will be pooled, divided and distributed amongst the winners of the Main Prize that have been successfully claimed and verified. If applicable these winners will be notified of the additional prize within 7 days of the Close Date and the prizes will be awarded within a further 28 days. For example: If 2 of the Wedges are claimed then both are guaranteed £10k each. If, after the Close Date no other claims have been made, the remaining £80k will be split between the 2 winners. Each winner will then receive an additional £40k brining their total win to £50k each.

Daily Wins

1. Winners of Daily Wins are notified immediately upon entry on the promotional website.
2. Winners will be required to provide their bank account details in order to receive their prize.
3. Winners are required to retain original promotional packaging as you may be required to send it in. If this request is made, the Promoter will contact and supply details on how to send. There will be no cost to the winner.
4. Winners will receive the prize within 28 days of their claim being validated.

Mop up Draw

1. The winner of the Mop up Draw will be notified within 7 working days of the Draw Date.
2. The Promoter will use reasonable efforts to contact winners. If a winner cannot be contacted or is not available after reasonable efforts by the Promoter, the Promoter is not obliged to award a prize to them and will defer the prize to a reserve winner.
3. Once contact has been made winners will be required to provide their bank account details in order to receive their prize.
4. The winner will receive their prize within 28 days.

10. There is no alternative prize, in whole or part. The prize is not transferable. The decisions of the Promoter are final in relation to the promotion.
11. The winner must submit their prize claim using their legal name. The Promoter may verify the eligibility of prize winners. The Promoter will require such information that it considers reasonably necessary for this purpose and a Prize may be withheld unless and until the Promoter is satisfied with the verification.
12. The prize winner may be invited to participate in publicity, including their names and photographs being used for promotional purposes and/or reasonable requests to take part in the Promoter’s publicity without compensation.
13. By entering this Promotion, each entrant acknowledges that if he or she is a winner, his or her surname and county may be disclosed to persons enquiring, where permitted by law. Any winner may object to their information being made available in this way or may request that the amount of information made available be reduced, by contacting the Promoter via email with the subject title 8275 Mini Cheddars – ‘Win a Wedge’ at info@winners-list.com. In these circumstances the winner acknowledges that the Promoter may nevertheless disclose such information in full to the Advertising Standards Authority if required to do so.
14. The winners’ surnames and counties may be requested by sending a stamped, self-addressed envelope to: 8275 Mini Cheddars – Win a Wedge Winner List, PO Box 906, Chilton, Aylesbury, HP22 9HR and will be available for a period of 4 weeks from 31.08.25.
15. The promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever, except for death or personal injury, arising out of the administration of prize draws, or out of the winner’s or any third party’s enjoyment of the prizes.
16. Where a winner has been found to be in breach of any of these Terms and Conditions and in particular where a person is in breach of the entry restrictions, the Promoter may nevertheless still enforce its right to disqualify that person and require the return or reimbursement to the Promoter of any Prize even where a prize has been awarded and/or actually provided to the entrant or winner in question.
17. Prizes are awarded at the promoter's discretion and no prizes will be awarded as a result of improper actions by or on behalf of any entrant.
18. If an act, omission, event or circumstance occurs which is beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter and which prevents the Promoter from complying with these Terms and Conditions, the Promoter will not be liable for any failure to perform or delay in performing its obligation.
19. If for any reason the Promotion is not capable of running as planned for reasons including but not limited to tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Promotion, the Promoter reserves the right (subject to any written directions given under applicable law) to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process and to terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion.
20. The promotion is governed by the laws of England and will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
