Terms and Conditions

1. This Promotion is open to residents of the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland aged 18 or over, excluding employees of the Promoter, its agents and anyone professionally associated with this Promotion.
2. Purchase is necessary for UK residents ONLY. Please retain an itemised receipt that states the time and date of purchase prior to entry, but within the Promotion Period, as this may be required for validation and in order for the winner to receive their Prize. Internet access and a valid email address are required.
3. Please note that while we want to encourage you to participate and enjoy the benefits of the Promotion we believe in responsible consumption of our products. DO NOT purchase more product than you can reasonably use or consume just to participate in this Promotion.
4. Promotion Period: Enter between 00:01 BST on the 2 October 2024 and 23:59 GMT on the 17 December 2024 inclusive.
5. To Enter:
   1. UK: Purchase a Promotional Product, see clause 6 for a list of Promotional Products. Scan the QR Code or visit RitzReadyWhenYouArent.RitzBakery.co.uk and complete the online form, providing the barcode and batch code, along with your details (full name, email address, your postcode, and the retailer you purchased from) to find out if you have won a Prize.
   2. ROI: Visit RitzReadyWhenYouArent.RitzBakery.co.uk and complete the online form with your details (full name, email address and your full address including eircode) to find out if you have won a Prize.
6. Promotional Products:
   1. Ritz original 150g
7. Maximum of 1 entry is permitted per person per day during the Promotion Period. Maximum of 20 entries per person during the entire Promotion Period. For entrants in the UK, one itemised receipt per entry must state the time and date of purchase, which must pre-date the entry date and time, but be within the Promotion Period. No person may win more than 1 Prize.
8. A person is defined by name and email address and the combination needs to be unique to a single participant for a prize claim to be valid. Postal addresses used to claim may be checked and verified via Royal Mail PAF for eligibility. Winners are provisional at point of win/claim and subject to prize claim verification to qualify win.
9. Winner Selection: During the Promotion Period, 6 “winning moments” (days, hours, minutes, seconds), have been randomly selected by an independent verification service. The first valid entry on or after that winning moment will be awarded the Prize. If no entry is received between one winning moment to the next, the Prize from that winning moment will be rolled over, creating an additional winning moment. All 6 Prizes are available to be won.
10. Prizes: During the Promotion Period, there are a total of 6 Prizes to be won. Each winning moment will be assigned a Prize. Winning moments will be randomly allocated as per clause 9.
    1. 1 x £10,000 cash
    2. 1 x chauffeur to pick up your nan and bring her to your house or £500 cash
    3. 1 x tall person (minimum 6ft1) to put up your lights or £100 cash
    4. 1 x Christmas card ghostwriter or £100 cash
    5. 1 x a person called Dave to wrap your gifts or £500 cash
    6. 1 x personalised spreadsheet of Christmas dinner timings or £100 cash
11. Further Prize Details and Conditions:
    1. Winners will have the choice of selecting the experiential prize detailed or the cash alternative.
    2. Cash prize and cash alternatives will be paid via BACs.
    3. Winners must have a valid UK or ROI bank account.
    4. If a winner is from the ROI and they receive a cash prize, they will be provided the € equivalent at the time of Prize Acceptance.
    5. Winners are responsible for providing correct bank account details and the Promoter will not be liable for any Prize payments made into the wrong bank account.
    6. The Promoter may request the winners participate in reasonable promotional activity (such as publicity and photography) surrounding the winning of the Prize, free of charge, and they consent to the Promoter and their selected media partners using their name and images in promotional material. The winners are under no obligation to participate and may decline this request. Participation is at the winners’ discretion and is not a condition of Prize acceptance.

    8. The Promoter will not be liable for anything that may get damaged or broken during prize redemption.
    9. Chauffeur to pick up your nan and bring her to your house:
       1. The winner will be provided with a taxi to pick up their nan or a loved one of your choice and transport them to the winner’s house. The taxi will be for one way only.
       2. The journey will be for a maximum of 150 miles, excluding Dublin which will be a maximum of 75 miles.
       3. The pick up and drop off for a location within a maximum radius of 150 miles, excluding Dublin which will be a maximum radius of 75 miles, from one of the Eligible Cities and transport will be on the ground only. Flights and/or ferries will not be included.
       4. The taxi service must be booked and taken by 24/12/2024.
       5. Once booked, the taxi will only be valid for the dates and times selected by the winner during winner communications; no alternatives will be available.
       6. If the booking is cancelled by the winner, no alternative will be issued and for the avoidance of doubt, no compensation and/or refund will be provided.
       7. The winner must inform the Promoter of any wheelchair or any similar access needs.
    10. Tall person to put up your lights:
        1. The Promoter will select a person of a minimum height of 6ft1.
        2. The person will be sent to the winner’s home address provided during winner communications on a date before 25/12/24. The exact date and time will be subject to availability and the Promoter’s discretion.
        3. The winner’s home address must be located within a 150 mile radius from one of the Eligible Cities.
    11. Christmas card ghostwriter:
        1. The Promoter will contact the winner to provide a date and time for a call to discuss what the winner would like the ghostwriter to write in the cards. The exact date and time for the call will be subject to the Promoter’s discretion.
        2. The ghostwriter will write a maximum of 20 cards in English only.
        3. The cards will be sent to the winner’s home address provided during winner communications for the winner to send themselves to their friends and family.
    12. A person called Dave to wrap your gifts:
        1. The Promoter will select a person called Dave.
        2. The person will be sent to the winner’s home address provided during winner communications on a date before 25/12/24. The exact date and time will be subject to availability and the Promoter’s discretion.
        3. The winner’s home address must be located within a 150 mile radius from one of the Eligible Cities.
        4. The person will wrap a maximum of 15 presents. The largest present size permitted is 50cm by 50cm.
        5. Gift wrapping equipment will be provided.
    13. Personalised spreadsheet of Christmas dinner timings:
        1. The Promoter will contact the winner to provide a date and time for a call to discuss the winner’s dinner preferences . The exact date and time for the call will be subject to the Promoter’s discretion.
        2. Following the call, the winner will be emailed a personalised spreadsheet of their Christmas dinner timings.
12. Winner Notification: The provisional winning entrants will be instantly notified on screen and will be contacted by PromoVeritas the Prize Fulfilment Agency via email with further instructions within 3 working days. The provisional winning entrants will be required to follow the instructions within 3 days of initial contact. If provisional winners do not follow the instructions either on screen or in the confirmation email within 3 days of initial contact, the Promoter reserves the right to disqualify those provisional winners and return the Prizes to the promotion Prize pool which may be won by another entrant during the Promotion Period.
13. Prize Acceptance: Once eligibility of a Prize is confirmed and the Prize is accepted, winners will be notified within 3 days of acceptance of the Prize to arrange fulfilment of the Prize. In the unlikely event that a winner does not receive their notification with 3 days, the winners must inform the Promoter by emailing RitzReadyWhenYouArent@promowinners.com. If a winner does not do so, the Promoter reserves the right to not reissue the Prize or limit its value at its sole discretion.
14. Provided no objection is received, the surname and county of the winners will be made available to anyone who requests them by writing to JS14791 Ritz Pull & Win, PO Box 704, Pinner, HA5 9PF, within 3 months of the closing date. In the event they win, winners may request their surname and county are not published or request for the amount of information being published to be reduced during the Winner Notification process. Without prejudice, the Promoter will provide this information to the Advertising Standards Authority on reasonable request.
15. The Promoter may request that the winners participate in publicity arising from the Promotion. Participation is at the winner’s discretion and is not a condition of Prize Acceptance.
16. The Promoter seeks to run a fair and secure promotion and prevent abuse and cheating. If you enter in a way that is not consistent with these Terms & Conditions, your entries (and any of your associated aliases) will be disqualified. Any Prize awarded may be void and recoverable, and the Promoter reserves the right to bar you from entering future promotions for a period of at least six months. For this reason, the Promoter reserves the right at any point to:
    1. Verify the eligibility of entrants and/or provisional winners through multiple means by requesting such information it consider reasonably necessary for this purpose. Entry or a Prize may be withheld until verification is completed.
    2. Disqualify entries that are not made directly by the individual entering the Promotion.
    3. Disqualify entries made using anonymous email services such as, but not limited to, GuerillaMail, Dispostable or Mailinator.
    4. Disqualify bulk entries from individuals, trade, consumer groups or third parties, incomplete entries and entries submitted by macros or other automated means.
    5. Disqualify entries beyond the maximum allowed, or those using techniques such as ‘script’, ‘brute force’, masking identity by manipulating IP addresses, using aliases or identities other than their own or any other means.
    6. Disqualify entrants who tamper with the entry process.
    7. Disqualify entries which, in some other way, do not meet the requirements of these Terms & Conditions.
    8. Cancel, modify or suspend the Promotion should it not be capable of running as planned for reasons including but not limited to tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, dishonesty, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Promotion.
17. The Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and subject to clause 10, cannot be redeemed for monetary value or for any other form of compensation. If for any reason a Prize or any element of a Prize is not available, the Promoter reserves the right, at its sole discretion to substitute that Prize or element of a Prize for another of equal or greater value.
18. No responsibility can be taken for entries which are lost, delayed, corrupted, damaged, misdirected or incomplete or which cannot be delivered for any technical, delivery or other reason. Proof of sending will not be accepted as proof of receipt. The Promoter does not guarantee continuous or secure access to RitzReadyWhenYouArent.RitzBakery.co.uk.
19. The Promoter and its associated agencies and companies are not liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense or damage which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person’s negligence) in connection with this Promotion (JS14791) or accepting or using the/a Prize(s), except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law. Nothing will exclude the Promotor’s liability for death or personal injury as a result of its negligence.
20. The Promoter will not be liable for any delay or failure to comply with its obligations for reasons beyond its reasonable control arising from but not limited to Acts of God, global or regional epidemic or pandemic, adverse weather conditions, fire, industrial dispute, war, terrorist activity, hostilities, political unrest, riots, civil commotion, plague or other natural calamities, or any other circumstances.
21. The Promoter shall comply with all applicable requirements of the Data Protection Act 2018, the General Data Protection Regulation 2016 and any successor legislation or other applicable law. The personal information entrants provide will be used by the Promoter for the purpose of conducting this promotion and in accordance with the Promoters’ Data Privacy Notice which can be found at www.cadbury.co.uk/privacy. The Promoter may disclose entrants’ personal information to its contractors and agents to assist in conducting this Promotion (including any relevant promotional activity) or communicating with entrants.
22. If any part/s of these Terms & Conditions are legally ruled to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable, the remainder will not be affected and will continue in full force and effect.
23. By entering, you will be deemed to have agreed to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
24. If there is a discrepancy between these Terms & Conditions and those in any promotional material, these Terms & Conditions will prevail.
25. These Terms & Conditions are governed by English law and their interpretation and application will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
