Warninks Christmas 2024 Text to Win Promotion – Terms and Conditions
These are the rules for the Warninks Christmas Text to Win promotion for the chance to win one of five fully stocked drinks trollies or one of one hundred Warninks Jumpers. Please read these Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) carefully. You will be legally bound by these Terms from the time you submit an entry into the Warninks Christmas Text to Win 2024 promotion (the “Promotion”). Please retain a copy for your information. By entering, you also acknowledge the Promoter’s privacy policy at https://www.williamgrant.com/gb/privacy-policy/. Please see ‘Data Protection’ below for more information.
Promoter: William Grant & Sons UK Limited, Form 1, 17 Bartley Wood Business Park, Hook, Hampshire, RG27 9XA is the “Promoter”.
Eligibility
- The Promotion is open to residents of the United Kingdom (England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland), aged 18 years or over who: (a) have a mobile phone with text capabilities and can send messages to short code numbers; and (b) have a valid email address (for fulfilment communication purposes). Purchase is necessary to participate.
- This Promotion excludes (i) the agents and / or the employees of such agents, (ii) employees of the Promoter and its group companies, (iii) the immediate families of the agents and employees referred to in this clause and (iv) anyone professionally connected with the Promotion or its administration.
- The Promoter reserves the right to verify the eligibility of any participant, entries and prize winners. The Promoter may require such information as it considers reasonably necessary for this purpose, which may include proof of identity, age, residency and address. The Promoter may withhold prizes while it verifies eligibility.
Promotional Period
- The Promotion will begin at 00.00 on 01/10/2024 and will close at 23.59 on 02/12/2024 (the “Promotion Period”). The Promotion will consist of a prize draw at the end of the Promotion Period. Entries received outside the Promotional Period shall not be valid for entry into this Promotion.
How to Enter Prize Draw
- During the Promotional Period: Purchase a bottle of Warninks Original Advocaat 70cl, text SNOWBALL followed by a space, and the last 4 digits of your product barcode to 60777 (“Entr(y)(ies)”). Entries may only be submitted via text. By entering this Promotion you agree that such Entry (excluding personal information) is deemed to be non-confidential and non-proprietary, and we shall have no obligation of any kind with respect to such Entries.
- Entrants must have a mobile phone able to send and receive messages to/from 5- digit short codes. Messages charged at network provider’s standard network rate, but there is no charge to the entrant for the returned bounce back text message. Texts are not usually included in any text inclusive packages, please check with your network provider if you are not sure of your standard network rate. Users on virtual mobile networks, or those with specific handset settings turned on, may not be able to text the short code. Please check with your network provider. Text lines are open 24 hours until 23:59 on the closing date. Ask the bill payer’s permission before texting. If you text after the closing date, you will not be entered but you will be charged. Take care when entering the text code; the Promoter is not responsible for mistypes, and you may be charged at a higher rate. Only correctly submitted entries will be accepted. For the avoidance of doubt, text entries featuring spelling mistakes will be disqualified. Capital or lowercase letters will both be accepted. The Promoter does not accept responsibility for entries or claims that are delayed or not received due to transmission, network or software problems or any other reason beyond the Promoter’s control.
- Entry will be confirmed with a ‘Thank You’ response. There is no charge to the entrant for this message.
- Only one entry per person. For the avoidance of doubt only one unique mobile number will be accepted per person, and a person can use this mobile number to enter only once. Any use by entrants of identities other than their own and/or any entrant using multiple mobile numbers and/or any other methods to enter this Promotion will be disqualified and any prize entitlement will be void. A mobile number can only be used by one person, and it cannot be shared within a household. The Promoter reserves the right to determine, in its sole and absolute discretion, whether an entrant or household has already submitted an entry and to disqualify any subsequent entries or prize entitlement.
- No third party or bulk entries. Entries via third parties, consumer groups or syndicates, entries by macros or other automated means and entries which do not satisfy the requirements of these Terms and Conditions in full will be disqualified. If it becomes apparent that either an entrant or household is using any means to circumvent this condition such as, and without limitation, fraudulently falsifying data; using multiple mobile phone numbers; using multiple postal addresses; acting fraudulently or dishonestly in the opinion of the Promoter; using identities other than their own; creating fake identities or using any other automated or manual means in order to increase that entrant’s or a household’s entries or otherwise acting in violation of these terms, these entrants and their household will be disqualified, and any prize entitlement will be void.
- Illegible, incorrect and/or incomplete Entries will not be accepted or eligible to win a prize. Proof of sending will not be accepted as proof of delivery. No responsibility can be accepted for Entries that are illegible, incorrect, incomplete, lost due to technical reasons, corrupted, delayed or not received for whatsoever reason. Entrants who make an Entry on someone else’s behalf will be disqualified, at the Promoter’s discretion.
- We also reserve the right in our sole and reasonable discretion to disqualify any entrant who: (a) we have reason to believe has breached any of these Terms and Conditions; and/or (b) corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Promotion; and/or (c) engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of this Promotion. We also reserve our legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender.
- If at any time you wish to withdraw from the Promotion your request should be made in writing to the Promoter at contact@warninkspromo.co.uk who will respond within 7 business days.

- Total of 105 prizes available to be won across the Promotional Period.
- Please note, the above prize descriptions and restrictions are accurate as of the date of publication. The prizes are non-transferable and non-refundable. There is no cash alternative to any prize. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute a reasonably equivalent alternative prize, or part of the Main prize, of equal or greater value, should circumstances make this necessary. Sale of the prizes for profit is prohibited and may constitute fraud. The prizes cannot be combined with any other offer, promotion or discount.
- We reserve the right to verify winners and ask for proof of identity documenting full name and age (date of birth). Only official documents can be accepted as proof of identity (driving licence, identity card or passport). Council tax will not be accepted as proof of identity. Expired proof of identity will not be accepted.
- The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any inability of the Winners to take up their prize.
- It is the responsibility of the winners to provide correct, up-to-date details when accepting a prize. The Promoter cannot be held responsible for winners failing to supply accurate information which then affects prize acceptance or fulfilment of their prize.
- The Promoter reserves the right to refuse to award a prize or withdraw prize entitlement and/or refuse further participation in the Promotion and disqualify the participant where it believes there has been a breach of these Terms, the spirit of the promotion, any instructions forming part of this Promotion’s entry requirements or otherwise where a participant has gained unfair advantage in participating or won using fraudulent means. The Promoter’s decision will be final in this regard.
Winner Selection & Notification:
- Within 7 days after the closing date/time of the Promotional Period, 105 winnerswill be selected at random via a computer randomiser algorithm, for the available prizes (fully stocked drinks trolleys & Warninks jumpers), from all eligible entries received during the Promotion Period. Before the Prize Draw Winners are selected, each available Prize shall be placed into a list and then each Prize Draw Winner shall be allocated a prize from the list of prizes in the order they are drawn.
- Within 7 days of the closing date/time of the Promotional Period, the Promotion Prize Draw Winners selected will be notified that they have won a prize via text from 60777 to the mobile number they entered the promotion with. Within the text, the winners will be requested to claim their prize by emailing contact@warninkspromo.co.uk and confirming the following details; full name, confirmation of the mobile number they entered with, delivery address and date of birth. Age identification will also need to be provided by the winners of the drinks trolley prizes (as stated in clause 16). County of residence will be requested from the Main Prize winners for the purposes of the winners list, if no objection is received.
- All winners must claim their prize & supply the details stated in clause 21 within 7 days of receiving the initial text notification. It is the responsibility of the entrant to ensure that they respond to the winner notification with the correct details. Winners who do not respond within the initial 3 days will be texted again. If no email is received from the winner within 7 days of the initial prize notification date, a winner rejects their prize or is ineligible, then that prize will be forfeited, and an alternative winner will be drawn using the same methodology as above. This process will repeat twice after which any remaining prizes will be deemed forfeited. Entrants are encouraged to monitor their connections during this time in case they are a winner.
- Prizes will be delivered to winners within 28 days of valid prize claim and the completion of the verification process. The Main Prizes (Fully stocked drinks trolley) will be delivered on a pallet, via a courier and a suitable delivery date will be agreed with each winner via phone or email correspondence, post valid prize claim. It is the responsibility of the winners to ensure this pallet delivery can be accepted. The Runner Up Prizes (Warninks Jumpers) will be despatched by registered post and a signature may be required. The Promoter assumes no responsibility for mistakes in delivery addresses and prizes returned undelivered shall be void. The Promoter will not replace any lost, damaged or stolen prize items once they have been dispatched or are in the winners’ possession.
Data Protection
- By entering the Promotion, each entrant agrees that any personal data provided by them in their promotion entry or, which they otherwise provide in accordance with these Terms may be used by the Promoter (and its third party suppliers) to administer this promotion and in accordance with current Data Protection legislation and the Promoter’s Privacy Notice, available at: https://www.williamgrant.com/gb/privacy-policy/. Data will be stored for 3 months after the close of the promotion before deletion. You can request access to your personal data, or have any inaccuracies rectified, by sending an email to dataprotection@wgrant.com. By participating in the Promotion, you agree to the use of your personal data as described here.
- The winners may be requested to take part in non-paid publicity or advertising relating to the Promotion, which may include having their photograph taken for promotional and press purposes.
Limitation of Liability
- Insofar as is permitted by law, the Promoter, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate any winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up any prize or in connection with this promotion except where it is caused by the negligence of the Promoter, its agents or its distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.
Brand Protection
- The winners must not do anything which could, in the reasonable opinion of the Promoter, bring the Promoter or its brand into disrepute before or during this promotion.

General
- By entering this Promotion, each entrant agrees to be bound, to the extent applicable, by (i) these Terms and (ii) entrants confirm that they are aware of the Promoter’s privacy notice as linked to above. Any entrant that does not comply in full with the applicable terms in this clause will be disqualified, at the Promoter’s discretion.
- The Fully Stocked Drinks trolley prize winners’ full names and counties are available by sending an email to contact@warninkspromo.co.uk within 3 months of the Promotional Period closing date. The Promoter reserves the right to refuse such requests. Please note that we may not be able to disclose this requested information, if an entrant objects to the disclosure of such information by sending an email to contact@warninkspromo.co.uk. Where a winning entrant has objected to their information being disclosed, the Promoter will instead confirm that a valid award has taken place. We may nevertheless disclose the information to the Advertising Standards Authority if required to do so.
- Any decision of the Promoter as to eligibility of an entrant to take part in the Promotion or the result of the Promotion will be final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into. Where the Promoter reasonably suspects, in its sole discretion that an entrant has circumvented the entry requirements or has otherwise submitted an entry in breach of these terms or which otherwise goes against the spirit of the Promotion, then the Promoter may disqualify such entry and any future entries submitted by such entrant and any prizes won shall be invalid.
- If for any reason any aspect of this promotion is not capable of running as planned, including by reason of infection by computer virus, network failure, traffic congestion, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other cause beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, the Promoter may in its sole discretion cancel, modify or suspend the promotion or invalidate any affected entries.
- If any act, omission, event or circumstance occurs which is beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter and which prevents the Promoter from complying with these terms and conditions (including but not limited to global or regional health crises, weather conditions, fire, flood, strike, hurricane, industrial dispute, war, terrorist activity, hostilities, political unrest, riots, civil commotion, epidemic, pandemic, famine, plague or other natural calamities and acts of God), the Promoter will not be liable for any failure to perform or delay in performing its obligations but will always endeavour to minimise the effect to participants in order to avoid undue disappointment.
- The Promoter has no control over communication networks and accepts no responsibility for entries that are incomplete, delayed, lost, damaged, or unreadable whether due to equipment failure, technical malfunction, failure or non-availability of the website, systems, satellite, network, server, computer hardware or software failure of any kind, the submission of incomplete information, or any other reason. The Promoter will not be held liable to any individual for any fraud committed by any third party.
- The Promoter is not liable for any delay in the delivery of any prize due to any events, circumstances or causes beyond its reasonable control.
- If any of these clauses should be determined to be illegal, invalid or otherwise unenforceable then it shall be severed and deleted from these Terms and the remaining clauses shall survive and remain in full force and effect.
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the law of the relevant country for each entrant, and entrants submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the relevant country they reside in.
